Hey guys, here's the adjustments I made to the stair shot.  #2 I desaturated and darkened, and #3 I moved out all the stuff and darkened it a bit more.  I'll add them up on the server too.

Notes for reel fixes

Hey guys, here's my notes from today on what they wanted fixed on the reel:

-More pans and cross dissolves in boards

-Storyboards at beginning are going by too fast

-Longer holds on some shots (like right before she jumps off the roof)

-Show color keys

-Exaggerate color change with the stair scene (before/after move scene)

-Blood disappears at end? Why?

I'm going to work on changing the color on my downshot from the stairs and I'll get it to you guys soon.

Some Polish that i have been working on

Here is my polishing pass.  I haven't finished yet... there is a lot of refining to do but hopefully I can finish and plug it in by tomorrow.  Tell me what you think!

NOT EVEN CLOSE TO DONE YET, but I wanted to post some progress on this shot.  Let me know what you think.  This is still rough, but in the end, I want to add some pushed-back spectators and some subtle building features in the background...

Starter patterns

This is all I could do for today, There will be more grungey ones later for wood/ carpet.

I will have the set on the server, as well as this PSD in WEEK 15, in a folder called PATTERNS if you want to make any changes to them. Polly will post hers up soon. To apply a pattern, Go to Layer> New Fill Layer> Pattern >

Click OK in the pop up box. That will take you to the next pop-up box where you'll be able to choose a pattern.
 

11 and 13 progress

Hey guys, here's my progress for the story moments for 11 and 13.  Top is 11, middle is 13, bottom is the two combined.

I knocked the couch color back more and de-yellowed the right wall a bit.  Let me know what you think!

Annlyn and Polly:  Are you guys done making the textures for the wallpaper?  If so, I'm ready to pop it on my wall!

PS:  I'm thinking for my next board, I was going to pass on 23 since it is the same shot as Polly's. (Then, if you have time and want it, Polly, you can have it!) Instead, I was thinking about doing one for one of Mike's new boards?  With her death flashback?  If that's a problem, let me know!

Color blocking for 11 and 13

Here's my color blocking for 11 and 13.  No patterns, texture or shadows really introduced yet.  Annlyn, let me know if the colors are what you had in mind!  I color picked from your script and improvised on a few of the items not shown on the boards...

I took everyone's crits and revised, thought i'd post.

Used Isometric, elements of the story piece that you did Kevin, plus elements of annlyn's color script for the dining room layout.

Story Update

Hey Group,

Sorry for the delay. Things got away from me last week, and even though I have a handful of excuses, in the end they're just excuses.

Anyway, here's an update on my work.

Things to note:

1. These aren't final. Especially when it comes to the drawings, I'll be taking photos, collecting reference, and making sure poses are all they can be. I have A LOT of reference to take, and you'd be a great help if you happen to be free to help me.

2. Lighting - I'll be adding some simple lighting to these. I'll be sure to check Annlyn's color script while doing this. I think it will really add to the mood of the boards.

3. You'll notice that some shots have been taken out because they've proven to be redundant, and that other shots have been added in. Don't be alarmed though. For the reel we won't be showing the entirety of the boards anyway, so there's room to still showcase the shots you picked and turned in to story moments. After all, the work speaks for itself and still adds to the project even if it isn't in the boards.

After many attempts, Blogger keeps messing up the order of my boards... I hope you don't mind but I'm going to post them to the server instead.

Go to Week 13 > Group 2 > Story *Updated* > 1/14 and they'll be there for you!

I changed the lighting in the bedroom and fixed up the house in shot. I polished up most of the rest too.
